Hello there readers! I hope you all are well and happy, I am back with another blog!

Hope you enjoy reading it.

Have you heard of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre? On April 13th, 1919, there was a peaceful gathering of many men, women and children to protest against the arrest of Satya Pal and Saifuddin Kitchlew.

There were strict laws against public gatherings for political purposes. In order to teach them a lesson, Colonel Reginald Dyer decided to open fire on the people gathered there. Innocent men, women and children were indiscriminately killed. People desperate to escape tried to climb over walls, they could not get out of the place as all exits had been blocked by the British soldiers. Around 400 people died in this incident and several more were seriously injured.

The movie I am going to review today is called 'Sardar Udham' .

The Plot

A young common man living in Amritsar, Udham Singh witnessed true horror on the 13th of April in 1919, he saw death, all of his own people were shot dead by the British. As years passed, he did not forget about the event, he joined an organization led by Bhagat Singh to revolt against the British for the freedom of India. His goal was more than that. He was planning something more, something which would shake the British government. He travelled around the world to get of the British's radar. He came to Britain and carried out the Assassination of General Michael O' Dwyer, who gave the order to open fire on the people in the Jallianwala Bagh to Reginald Dyer. He was brutally tortured by the British police and British intelligence to get information about his partners, but such was his will and love for the country, he tolerated all the pain but did not utter a single word. He did not flinch even at the face of death.

The Review

The story line and the plot of the movie is extremely inspiring and motivating. The Lead actor, Vicky Kaushal's acting as a revolutionary named Udham Singh is also quite amazing.

However, in the final part of the movie, there is a lot of gore and violence where the Jallianwala Bagh massacre is shown. Certain parts in the movie might seem a little boring or talkative to some audiences but they too are important to understand the plot better so I would advise not to skip them. There isn't much to say about the movie, but it is definitely worth a watch.
