Ugh! Who wants to know about science! I used to think the same until I read a book that totally changed my views about science. The book I am going to talk about today is called ‘The Brain’ by David Eagleman. You might think, ‘The Brain’ sounds so boring, one might fall asleep reading it, I thought the same until I read it. What is so good about it? Let's see.

What is it about

Did you ever have trouble deciding about what to eat or what to wear? How did you finally make a decision? Do you sometimes randomly recall details that you had no idea you remembered a second ago? Do you ever think about who you actually are? What shapes your personality? Is everything real? What is reality?

Are you controlling yourself, or is it something else?

Many such questions are answered in the book, ‘The Brain’ written by David Eagleman. It does not just tell you about the human brain, it tells you about how the human brain shapes our lives. Everything we do, everything we think, everything we will be in the future is because of our brain. This book unlocks all secrets about our lives and why we do things a certain way. This book is a journey in the inner cosmos, an entire other world situated inside our skull. Other than that, the book also gives knowledge and information about various mental health issues and disorders, why they occur and how such patients can be helped. The book tells us about endless possibilities of the human brain that we do not even know. How are such meticulous neurosurgeries performed? You will find out when you read it. Read the book and see how the brain of a doctor, a sportsman or a common man works.

How is it?

As I said, I am not a huge fan of science. But this book has changed my views. Some might think that a book about neurology will contain complex and boring information nobody cares about. This book is totally the opposite of that! The information is not only interesting, it is put in the most creative and simplest language possible. This makes it interesting to read. There are very few huge words and they are explained well too. Trust me, nothing is more interesting than how the human brain works. You have no idea what your brain does and is capable of!! But is it possible that a book does not get boring even for a second from beginning to end? No! There are very few boring parts in the book but it's not like they stretch on for pages. They usually end within a few lines. Is this book really long? No, the book is only 243 pages long including the acknowledgements, glossary and endnotes. So don’t worry, it would not take you ages to finish it. The language used in the book is very clean and sophisticated too. Does the book contain false facts? Well, it is written by a neuroscientist so I hardly think so. That is all for the review, let's know a little about the brains behind the book. [ ‘The Brains’ behind the book ‘The Brain’ hahhahahahaha ].

A little bit About the author.
