I am sure all of us have watched a lot of movies of various genres like comedy, thrillers, mystery, romance and what not. One of my favorite genres is inspirational movies. Movies which motivate us to do something good and awesome in life. All this time, I thought that humans could inspire, little did I know that dogs could too.
The movie I am going to talk about today is called ‘Togo’, it is based on a true story . What is it about? How is it? We shall see now.

The Plot
The movie talks about a common Norwegian man living in Alaska in a village called ‘Nome’ with his Belgian wife and his dogs. The movie is set in the early 1900's. What does he do for a living in the snowy mountains of Alaska? He sells Sledge dogs for a living. While making the trade of sledge dogs, he comes across a special puppy, different from every dog! More of a trouble maker. No cage, no barn and no room can contain him, all he wants is to get to his master and pull his sledge. Leonhard, the protagonist, cannot let him do that as he is just a puppy and Leonhard thinks he is not strong enough to catch up with the other dogs. But little Togo won’t give up! Finally, Leonhard decided to give the puppy a try. Not only did Togo catch up to all the dogs, he could outrun all of them. The other experienced and trained dogs had to catch up to him. Leonhard knew that Togo was a special one and made him the lead dog of his team. Togo and Leonhard became inseparable. 12 years later, a disease lethal to kids broke out in the village of Nome. There was a cure far far away, with the disease, came a terrible storm which made it impossible for the cure to be transported by air. There was only one option, someone had to bring the cure on dog sledge as that was the only option available. Leonhard and his dog Togo set out for the journey through the horrifying storm. Will they make it home? Will Togo survive? Will the cure come and save the people?
The Review
According to me, Togo is the most amazing and Inspiring movie I have ever seen. But of course, everyone might not feel the same. For the people who like action and speed in a movie, Togo might seem slow and talkative to them. Well, the plot is supposed to be inspirational so I would not expect a lot of action. The parts about the journey are the best in the movie, they are gripping and exciting. The talkative scenes are good too as they help build up the plot of the story, so I would not advise skipping any scenes. The scenes about Togo as a puppy are cute, sweet and hilarious!! So there you go, you have the laughs and the cries. But didn’t I say something about ‘Inspiration’ in the title of the blog? What is so inspirational in the movie? When I saw the loyalty, dedication and determination shown by a dog in the movie, I wondered about the real Togo, who helped his master to travel an unimaginable distance and did not give up. These kinds of qualities are shown by loyal dogs. I have rarely ever heard about humans with such great qualities! When someone is angry, they use the word ‘dog’ as an insult, but Togo proves that it is an honor. What parts of the movie are boring? Mainly the parts in the beginning of the movie are a little talkative. Is there any strong language? Not at all! the movie is a treat to the eyes as well as the ears. Is there any cruelty to animals shown in the movie? Thankfully, there is no such thing shown in the movie as it is about the unbreakable bond between a dog and its master. Is there any music? No, but the background theme is amazing! What is the message of the movie? The movie talks about the exceptional loyalty of a dog towards its master and how animals are more than just pets, they are family.
