A glitch in evolution...

And once man was not "Man", it was perfect,

it evolved to give names to the nameless,

instinct to eat and nothing to reflect,

all as it should have been, wild and frameless.

Then came an evolved storm of consciousness,

a curse where humans made their own torment.

language, questions to kill meaninglessness,

perhaps meaning should have remained absent.

In a cage of constructs, one on two legs,

who called a ball of rock "home", left stranded.

eat, breed, die, instead for answers it begs,

with the gift of thought, in hell its landed.

right, wrong, time and god perhaps fantasy,

strayed from paths of animalistic bliss.

from monkeys to beings of insanity,

is it life's error or the devil's kiss.

all your worries and wins are delusion,

your consciousness is just a glitch in evolution.
